Kevin Monroe Honored with 40 Under 40 Award

In April, East Carolina University honored CAPTRUST's Kevin Monroe with its inaugural 40 Under 40 Award in Leadership. This annual award honors 40 former student leaders who demonstrate a commitment to maintaining lifelong relationships with the university and who have made impacts in their fields and communities. ECU's Division of Student Affairs presented the award in partnership with the Robert Wright Society and the Center for Student Leadership & Engagement during the 2015 Student Affairs Leadership & Corporate Awards banquet at the Greenville Hilton.

Monroe serves on ECU’s College of Business advisory council and the board of the ECU Foundation. He co-founded Future, Inc., a nonprofit youth outreach and mentoring program, and works with the Raleigh Rescue Mission, the Salvation Army, the CAPCommunity Foundation, and the Raleigh Food Bank.

Monroe is a wealth management advisor in CAPTRUST’s Raleigh, NC office, working with more than 75 professional athletes who are clients of the firm’s Professional Sports Division. Monroe received both an undergraduate degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from ECU. Monroe is color commentator for the school’s football games broadcast on the radio.
